Welcome to our little shop with a big heart!
We pride ourselves on being one of the main community hubs in Alfrick and surrounding villages, and try our best to enhance the social side of village life for everyone. Learn more…
The shop in Alfrick is still very much open, alive and kicking, from 9 till 5 weekdays and 9 til 12 weekends, serving the needs of the local community. There’s a wide range of stock including hard-to-find flour, yeast, bread, eggs, local meat, groceries, beers and wine, pet food and lots of lovely fruit and vegetables.
Customers are served at the door by a volunteer “personal shopper” who does the shopping for them and payment is made through a window by the till. Shopping is then collected from the doorway at the far end of the building.
Even the Post Office is operating from 11:30 am till 4 pm weekdays! Phone orders can be taken on 01886 832862, payment by card is available and home deliveries can be arranged for those in need. None of this would be possible without the fantastic efforts of many volunteers, both in the shop and behind the scenes (working from home!) and our 2 managers, helping to keep our community strong. Thanks are due to all of them.
