Volunteering
Who can volunteer?
The shop and cafe are for the whole community and the wider the range of volunteers, the better.
There are no special skills or experience required. Older children (over 14) and young people can volunteer and there is no maximum age.
We are happy to support those working towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
If you have a disability, we will do our best to adapt the work to accommodate your needs.
The most important role is to be friendly and helpful to visitors, customers, suppliers and other volunteers and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Typically, volunteers work for one shift a week or a fortnight. Some volunteers take responsibility for certain roles such as ordering, marketing, cleaning, etc and may work more frequently.
